Ho Man Tin Station WAB Entrance Shaft
Ho Man Tin,
Hong Kong
The Ho Man Tin Station WAB Entrance Shaft project, located in Ho Man Tin, Hong Kong, involves the construction of an underground station entrance shaft with a depth of 33 m. The project includes providing wall formwork for the concrete lining of the shaft, and utilising a climbing support platform capable of transferring loads up to 280 kN. Emphasizing efficiency, the design allows for quick assembly and simple operation, enabling unskilled labor to manage the process. The construction period is scheduled from April to June 2015, highlighting the need for rapid execution and effective teamwork.
The Project
Initial assembly of single-lift platform on site. The central platform opening for material transfer up and down the shaft. This central structure forms part of the "trussed" frame arrangement to transmit the imposed platform loads back to the 4 No. wall anchors.
Installation of special, single-lift platform and fitting of decking.
