Tuen Mun - Chek Lap Kok Link Northern Connection Sub-sea Tunnel Section
New Territories ,
Hong Kong
Tuen Mun – Chek Lap Kok Link (TMCLKL)’s 5 km long sub-sea road tunnel is a core component connecting Northwest New Territories (NWNT) with the Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA). The project involves two major reclamation areas, Northern Landfall in Tuen Mun and Southern Landfall adjacent to HKIA.
PERI works closely with DBJV to construct various structures on the two landfills. On the North, the TRIO panel system is utilized for the ventilation shaft and ventilation building. On the South, various systems are in place to achieve construction efficiency and safety. Bespoke scaffold travelers, wall, and slab formwork travelers are supplied to construct the 250m long cut and cover tunnel.
The Project
Construction of base slab with TRIO formwork at South Approach Ramp.
Construction of capping beams with DUO formwork.
Tympanum construction with CB240 climbing platform at South Ventilation Shaft.
Cross struts supported with VST heavy duty shoring towers.
