Seac Pai Van plant is the fourth water facility invested in, designed, constructed, and operated by SUEZ NWS in Macau. The energy-efficient water treatment plant adopted a green plant construction concept that allows the facility to integrate into the Seac Pai Van Reservoir landscape fully. The project covers an area of around 17,000 m2 and it was expected to raise Macau's daily water supply from 390,000 m3 to 520,000 m3 upon completion.

The Project
PERI supplied 3,500 square metres of mainly 135x90 DUO formwork. The lightweight formwork allowed a crane-free assembly & dismantling process that is optimal for the site due to the limited space for crane usage.
The DUO system formwork is characterised by its extremely simple handling. Together with the PERI UP Modular Scaffold, they enabled a safe and convenient working environment even for the higher parts of assembled formwork.
The panels connect using the DUO coupler, requiring only a straightforward insert and rotate mechanism without the need for any additional tools, which allows efficient operations even without experienced workers.
The DUO system employs only a minimal number of system components, facilitating swift assembly and disassembly.
