Located in the East District of Tainan City, this project boasts a total floor area of 8,247.64 m2. Designed as a monolithic structure, it utilizes relatively few materials. As the contractor of this project, Fengyu Group procured over 7,000 m2 of DUO System Formwork for this and subsequent projects, making them pioneers in using the DUO System Formwork in monolithic architecture in Taiwan. The DUO System design also seamlessly integrates with the Taiwan government's overall smart ecosystem city plan.
The Project
With the development of a smart eco-city becoming the overall planning direction for Tainan City in 2016, Taiwan Sugar Corporation (TSC) combined green building and circular economy design concepts to develop a residential project targeting university students and young people. The total floor area of the project is 8247.64 m2.
Designed for multiple uses, DUO System Formwork is engineered for repeated deployment and project longevity, which can largely reduce the overall project costs.
Since all the elements are cast into a single structure at one time, the assembly must be very fast, and the lightweight nature of the DUO System Formwork helps the construction team to move and install the panels easily and efficiently.
